Rumor: Very few iPhone 6S Plus units in production

Previously, rumors had circulated about potential production issues with the new generation of iPhones. Apparently, the new iPhone 6S is proceeding as normal without any delays and is still available for pre-order in some parts of the world. However, the same cannot be said for the iPhone 6S Plus , which is rumored to be arriving with some delay and potentially in limited quantities.

Not only is there a delay, but there may also be very few completed units of the iPhone 6S Plus in production.

This poses a significant problem for Apple, given the high demand for its new iPhone models since pre-orders began . The official launch will apparently take place in 12 countries, including Canada, France, Germany, the USA, Japan, and many others.

This information was previously revealed by Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities, who disclosed this production problem . However, they claim that the main issue in the production of the iPhone 6S Plus is the shortage of supplies needed to assemble the devices . More specifically, the obstacle appears to be a lack of supply of the modules responsible for backlighting the screen. These components are manufactured by a Japanese company called Minabea, about which no information is known, so far, regarding the reasons for these delays.

Of course, information was also released stating that Apple is looking to resolve this issue . This is something many are already aware of, as Apple will explore all possible avenues to meet the demand for its new devices, even though it doesn't officially admit to experiencing problems.

Part of this solution, apparently, is to find another supplier for the missing component. The name of the company that's starting to surface is Radiant, but this hasn't been confirmed yet. The new iPhone models are expected to arrive in stores on September 25th.
