Rumors continue to swirl regarding the new iPhone version Apple is preparing. The screen size and resolution seem more certain than rumored, but some features remain unconfirmed. South Korean media outlets have revealed discussions between carriers SK Telecom and KT and Apple regarding iPhone 5 support for their 4G-LTE networks.

The negotiations, confirmed by a senior executive to Korea Times , are trying to secure support for the 1,8 gigahertz network , different from the LTE used by American operators and which Apple supports with the new iPad.

This would place an additional burden on Cupertino, as it would require a different and customized module for the Korean model.

In any case, the most interesting aspect of this information is the confirmation that the iPhone 5 will be Apple's first smartphone to support fourth-generation broadband networks . This is one of the device's major new features, along with the increased screen size.
