Skype Qik arrives with self-destructing messages for iOS

If what instant messaging apps offer still isn't enough, an interesting new alternative has arrived for iOS mobiles . It's called Skype Qik , which has been reborn after being removed from the market and is betting everything on capturing users' attention.

Voice calls have become a thing of the past for smartphone users , especially young people, and text messages seem to be getting boring. Therefore, companies responsible for apps like Facebook Messenger , Skype , Line , and Telegram appear to be focusing on something more appealing, such as video messaging, as Skype has done . Line, for its part, wants a more useful approach for users and is testing its electronic payment and mobile reservation system in Japan.

With Skype Qik you need to register with a phone number and once you have the application installed on your mobile with iOS 7 or higher you can start sending and receiving video messages lasting 42 seconds, as well as using a " Qik Fliks " which is only 5 seconds long, something for a very quick reply.

The most interesting thing is that users can delete traces of the video conversation from the terminal of the user who viewed the message after two weeks or according to the settings you make from your device.
