Smart Cover Wirelessly Charges iPad, Another Apple Patent

 

Hello iPhone users! Apple has recently registered a patent related to wireless charging of devices . The description accompanying the patent describes what could be a current Smart Cover with the option to recharge a mobile device . In this case, the illustrations attached to the patent registration document show an iPad and a Smart Cover with the ability to discern whether the protective cover is open or closed, and depending on that, it would begin charging the device wirelessly.

 

 

The fact that Apple has registered a patent of this type does not mean that this product will reach the market , since on many occasions they encounter numerous difficulties that make certain ideas unviable. In other cases, patents are registered with the aim of "defending" themselves against the competition , since if they are used by other companies to develop new products, they will have to reach a financial agreement for the use of the patent.

 

Perhaps in the future we'll see devices that recharge wirelessly or even batteries that last for weeks, but for now, the patent registered by Apple is a real possibility. Imagine the price of a Smart Cover that wirelessly charges our iPad!
