Yesterday I had a problem restoring iOS 4.3.5 on my iPhone 3GS. The error was exactly at 3014, and I've found several quick and effective solutions to the problem, all of which have been tested beforehand, so they should all work with your iPhones without any issues.
Solutions:
- The hosts file has been modified to request SHSH blobs from Cydia. The solution is to delete all lines containing "gs.apple.com". To modify it, go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and open the hosts file by double-clicking it. Then, select Notepad and finally restart your device.
- Have more than 2GB free on the hard drive.
- Connect the cable to a different USB port or use a different cable. The USB cable must be 2.0.
- Use another computer or user on the PC (preferably a newly created user).
- Update iTunes to its latest version from the official website (It is recommended to uninstall before installing the new version).
