Hello iPhone user, if you are an iPhone 3GS user (old bootrom) and jailbroke with Spirit, you should know that you cannot jailbreak iOS4 with Snowbreeze or PwnageTool (due to the encryption generated by the Spirit jailbreak, which causes errors when restoring with a custom iOS4 firmware). Requirements:

Have an iPhone 3Gs (old boot) and jailbreak done with Spirit on 3.1.2 or 3.1.3.
Add the source: http://repo.woowiz.net

An application has been released in Cydia that allows you to change your jailbreak from Spirit to Pwnage (this is in terms of internal coding), which will allow you to restore with a custom iOS4 on your iPhone 3Gs (old boot) regardless of whether you used Spirit for your jailbreak on 3.1.2 or 3.1.3.

All you need to do is add the repository: http://repo.woowiz.net, then install the package called Spirit2Pwn and restart your device. Once it restarts, you'll be able to update to iOS 4 with your custom firmware.

To avoid confusion and mishaps, I clarify: ONLY FOR IPHONE 3Gs WITH OLD BOOT.
