Steve Jobs denies Apple surveillance

Hello iPhone user, well as you know, news came out warning us that the company, through its location service, could track us and even know our exact location, which many people did not find acceptable.

At a time when people are starting to fight for the privacy of data and how it is used on the Internet, Steve Jobs responded to a Macrumors reader who asked him if Apple really keeps this information.

Could you explain the need for the passive location tracking tool embedded in my iPhone? It's a bit disconcerting to know that my exact location is being recorded at all times. Perhaps you could shed some light on this for me before I switch to a droid. They don't follow me.

Steve Oh, yes they do. We don't follow anyone. The information circulating about this is false.
