Super Mario Run Receives Its First Update on iOS

by The magician / March 23, 2017 7:39 AM EDT

Super Mario Run It is now available for both iOS and Android. Just as Nintendo decided to release the game a couple of hours ago for Android devices, they have also decided to update Super Mario Run on iOS

The update that Super Mario Run receives on iOS devices is version 2.0 and integrates some very interesting features for both premium users, that is, those who have paid for the full version of the game, and non-premium users.

The best thing to do at this point is to buy the full version for $10 if you want the best experience with the game, where you can unlock all the levels.

New Colors for Yoshi/Toad

If you play the "Toad Rally" or "Toad Gathering" sections, you'll know that Yoshi is a key character. With the new update, playing with a Yoshi of a specific color will unlock Toads of the same color.

Bowser's First Castle

As you may already know, the free version allowed you to play the first three levels and the first castle for a few seconds. The Super Mario Run update now allows you to play the entire castle, meaning you can now fight Bowser.

More surprises are coming in later versions

When we look at the details of this new update, we'll see that new buildings will be added in future events; an "easier" game mode is planned, along with other sections like "Rally Tickets," and much more.

What will I be able to unlock if I decide to buy the full version?

  • In the "Rally Toad" section, we can unlock some Toads of the same color as the Yoshi used.
  • The Bowser challenge can be played in its entirety, without any time limit.
  • New buildings will be added in future updates
  • "Easy" Game Mode that you can select at the "World Tour" entrance
  • The assessment of Toad's color appearance has been adjusted
  • The tutorial will be available both the first time you run the game and after you have played it.
  • The ease of play has been improved
  • Other Changes and Improvements

Is the full version worth buying for what it offers?

As mentioned earlier, the free version is very limited, offering only four levels. It's recommended to purchase the game to access all the included levels. The other game modes, while interesting, are considered a bonus or additional content.
