As has been seen in recent years, large companies have ventured into investing in the development of automobiles, each making the moves it considers necessary to establish strong foundations for its projects in this area.
Apple, for its part, only began working on the development of an electric car a few months ago, in September of last year. The company gave the car the codename 'Titan' and authorized the project team to triple its current size (600 people) to accelerate progress. The company also stated its goal is to have the project ready, or at least in its final stages, by 2019.
