Niantic has announced a new feature called Adventure Sync, which will be coming soon to Pokémon Go on iOS and Android.
Adventure Sync will use activity data from Apple Health and Google Fit to credit players for real-world distance traveled, hatch eggs, and earn candy, even when Pokémon Go isn't running.
Pokémon Go has been credited in the past for encouraging iPhone and Android users to be more active. The gameplay requires traveling outdoors to find Pokémon and PokéStops, placed virtually in the real world, to advance through levels and expand your collection. Read more "
