Apple and Northwestern University will train teachers with the EveryoneCanCode program

Apple has announced that in collaboration with Chicago Public Schools and Northwestern University, it will offer free coding training to teachers throughout Chicago.

This center will also serve as a training ground for Chicago Public Schools teachers to learn and then teach Apple's curriculum through the " Every Can Code " program.

This collaboration will help expand opportunities for local teachers, providing them with a new experience to share with their students. Teachers will also have the opportunity to participate in a Swift app development course.

Apple invites teachers and students to its event on March 27 in Chicago

Apple today invited the media to an event it will hold on Tuesday, March 27 at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago.

The opening conference will begin at 10:00 am Central Time and will focus on "new creative ideas for teachers and students," suggesting that Apple has some education-related announcements planned.

There are quite a few rumors about Apple's hardware and software portfolio that could fit within an educational theme. This includes lower-priced versions of the iPad and MacBook Air, which could be targeted at classrooms. Read more »
