According to the legal process, Apple has paid the first installment of $15 billion, which the EU is demanding Apple pay to Ireland. While Ireland and Apple will appeal the ruling in court, the EU believes Apple benefited from an illegal low-tax deal.
It is known that the first payment of 1.500 billion euros will be deposited into an escrow account as a guarantee until a final judgment is reached.
