Apple has reduced its orders for memory chips from Samsung for its new iPhones, according to a source cited by Reuters , indicating that the Cupertino company is beginning to diversify its supplier portfolio. As reported by several news sources, citing a previous report from the Korea Economic Daily , Reuters stated that Apple has reduced its orders from Samsung for memory chips and increased orders from rival suppliers Toshiba, Elpida Memory, and Hynix SK.
