The news broke when The folks at iFixit dissected the new second-generation iPod touchand discovered that the device has a Bluetooth chip BCM4325 from Broadcom, compatible with Bluetooth 2.1 EDR protocol, 802.11a/b/g for Wi-Fi and (Oh, destiny!FM radio.
It is speculated that Apple used this chip because of its low energy consumptionand because of its "all-in-one" features. Needless to say, the company hasn't said a word about it. Bluetooth usage on the new iPod…and that's because It is only used as a receiver for Nike+ devices.
