Treatise on Atheology (iBook)
by / July 22, 2011 12:59 AM EDT
Author : Michel Onfray
Synopsis : “God is not dead, or if he was, he is now experiencing a full rebirth, both in the West and the East. Hence the urgency, according to Onfray, of a new, well-reasoned, solid, and militant atheism; one that presents itself as a new and positive stance toward life, history, and the world. Atheology must articulate a robust critique of the three main monotheisms, reject the existence of the transcendent, and promote an interest in ‘our only true good: earthly life,’ the well-being and emancipation of the bodies and minds of women and men. Something achievable only through a ‘radical de-Christianization of society.’”
