WPA Tester 2.1

by jc / August 24, 2011 6:06 PM EDT

WPA Tester is a useful application that allows you to test the security of your Wi-Fi network. This application gives you the power to retain the default settings of your private network. WPA Tester will test the actual security by generating default passwords; to prevent this, this app offers the option to access your router's settings and then enter a personal password to prevent other users from misusing your internet connection.

On the other hand, as already described, this application allows you to access wireless networks, as it provides the default passwords. Would you like to connect to a Wi-Fi network wherever you are? Well, it's possible with WPA Tester, and no password will stop you.

 Features:

  • This application is compatible with all the networks specified below:
    • Alice, Fastweb, InfostradaWiFi, Dlink, Huawei, Sky, Ono, Tecom,Verizon, Discus, WLAN, JAZZTEL, Yacom, WiFi, ADSL, D-Link Wireless, Eircom, Thomson, SpeedTouch, BTHomeHub, O2Wireless, Bbox, privat, DMAX, Infinitum, Orange, BigPond, OTEnet.
  • For Fastweb routers: the SSID (by default) is the device's MAC address. So if you've changed the SSID for security reasons, to test the connection you can enter your MAC address (without the colon!) in the SSID field.
  • For routers that require the MAC address: enter your MAC address without the colon (for example, 01:23:45:67:8:9B would be 012345678A9B).
  • For Thomson SpeedTouch, O2Wireless, Bbox, Privat, DMAX, Infinity, Orange, BigPond, OTEnet routers: calculation time may be very slow.
  • When entering the SSID and MAC address, it is recommended to distinguish between uppercase and lowercase letters as they appear in your router's details.
  • The list of supported SSIDs is constantly updated, as is the router.

 What's new in version 2.1?

  • Error correction.
